Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements for the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. Students transferring from another University are required to meet the University’s cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for Honours Standing C+ (GPA 5.0).

Students transferring from another Faculty must be eligible to proceed in Honours.

Students transferring from Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology of Ontario (CAAT) require an overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.5 on a minimum of 8 academic semester courses completed over 2 semesters to be eligible for admission to the proposed program. (Transfer credit will be assessed upon admission to the program.)

Students transferring from another University must have achieved at least a grade of B (6.0) in the core course AP/HUMA 1970 9.0 or any course(s) deemed equivalent to AP/HUMA 1970 9.0 to be admitted to the program.

Students transferring from another Faculty or Program must achieve at least a grade of B (6.0) in the core course AP/HUMA 1970 9.0 and arrange an academic advising appointment with the Children's Studies Program Coordinator, prior to requesting an online Program Change.
